Cheyenne Groel
2018 Scholarship award winner
Cheyenne is from Central Illinois and after graduation will pursue further education in NC. She is currently a CNA (Cetified Nurses Aid) and is working at an extended care facility while finishing high school. The award was presented to Cheyenne by her uncles Denny (US Army Veteran), and Herbert (USAir Force Veteran).
Cheyenne will begin training as an EMT at Central Piedmont Community College in August while she is awaiting a start date for her nursing program.

Jada Hamm
2017 Scholarship award winner Jada was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. Her accomplishments include numerous service and volunteer events in and around the Charlotte area. After graduation this summer she will be part of an internship through the Mayor's Youth Empowerment Program. She is looking forward to gaining the experience that will guide her through her college education and experience in city government. She is currently a part of Lloyd International Honors College. This program is designed for scholars that have excelled in high school and want to serve their communities and strive to become well rounded on a global scale. In the fall of 2017 Jada will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she will major in psychology. This will pave the way for her future work as a neuropsychologist. |
