About Us

In the beginning… Our organization was formed around a kitchen table with a group of friends who decided that we all needed to do more to help disabled veterans and the warriors we meet who are all around us. Roles were assigned, a corporation was formed, and we were off and running. We are still running and the past few years have flown by.

On June 2 of 2016 we were awarded a tax exempt status, 501 (C) (3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Our income is solely based on donations. As of FY 2025 there are no salaried employees and every dollar donated goes directly back to our programs.

In 2025 we will attend 4 minor events and of course our major Honor the Warriors Bike Event in Charlotte and Mint Hill right here in our home of NC. Everyone is welcome to join us at any of these events and meet these veterans and warriors who have given so much.

What We Do

HTW  is a veterans group providing camaraderie and giving veterans a sense of purpose through adaptive cycling.

OUR MISSION IS TO

To encourage each and every person to live their lives with joy. To define themselves not by what they can’t do but b y what they will do. To guide and mentor all we meet by encouraging and helping them reach beyond their expectations.

Give purpose to all

An Initiative to Give Our Veterans Purpose

Thank you all for your interest in Honor The Warriors.  We are a registered 501 (c)(3) and as such any donation you give is tax deductible.  All donated money will go directly to our Warriors and our adaptive cycling program.  We are all volunteers and our only overhead is office supplies, equipment, insurance and what our government requires for taxes and fees.  Our biggest expense overall is the purchase, and maintenance of our bikes, trikes, and hand-cycles.  Adaptive cycles can range in price from $1500 to well beyond $10,000 for e-assisted equipment.

If you wish to make a “donation in kind” of products or services you will need to contact me directly at: honorthewarriors1@gmail.com  Thank you for your support.

Ride with Us

Veterans know better than many the power in a shared vision and what it means for everyone to be pulling in the same direction. A sense of pride, camaraderie and the power of being part of something bigger than yourself - that's why we serve. That is why HTW exists. The Veterans Administration aids in physical healing but what about those unseen, psychological scars? There's only so much they can do. Many veterans feel alone and purposeless. They have lost that sense of "somebody has my back" We will have your back my friend. Come and join us for an event and find out a bit about adaptive cycling.
