Charlotte City Ride 27 April
A fun ride from Pineville Mall to Downtown Charlotte via the Sugar Creek Greenway, returning via the light rail corridor.

Smoky Mtn Recumbent Rally 14 & 15 May
Ride the Smoky Mtn National Park.  There will be several rides around the Townsend Tn area with the highlight being riding Cade's Cove.  Elk and deer, and turkeys, and bear "Oh My"

Veterans Music Festival
Cherokee NC Sep 21 & 22
This is a two-day festival held at Happy Holidays RV Park in Cherokee.  We attended last year and had a great time. You can camp in any way you like, tent, RV, or rent one of their cabins.  HTW has 2 cabins reserved so check with Jane before you contact them for reservations.  There are 2 planned rides during the weekend, we will be within a mile of the Casino, and the park is surrounded by a stocked trout stream.

HTW 15th Annual Event 25 & 26 October
Our premier event of every year.  This is the 2 day ride in the Charlotte, Mint Hill NC Area.  Day 1 is an escorted ride through the heart of the city with stops at 1st Ward School for Performing Arts, Charlotte fine Arts Museum, BOA Stadium, Freedom Park, and a ride along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.  Day 2 is a multi route ride from Mint Hill through SE Counties.  These routes are just beautiful and the cycling community that joins us from the Charlotte Area are wonderful.  HTW will sponsor 30 riders with hotel rooms and food for the 3 days you will be here with us.  To keep within our budget we are asking you to fill double occupancy for the rooms.  If you are coming alone we will help pair you up with another Veteran.  Again, this can fill quickly so call and let us know if you are interested.

Festivelo Nov 6-10
Great multi-day ride in Walterboro that uses some of the same routes as the Rice Festival in Walterboro, SC.  They celebrate Veterans and usually give us a very good price for the event.  All 4 days have planned rides and every evening has a party going on somewhere locally.  This is not a sponsored event by HTW but it is a great ride to attend.
