Tour De Turns Charlotte, NC August 27th Great fun for a cause in Charlotte, NC Did this ride last year and some think it should have been called "Tour de Hills" A lot of fun
Tour De Elvis Albemarle, NC September 10th Just what it sounds like, a celebration of Elvis Presley's life and times. I called the organizer and asked, "Do people dress for this occasion?" she said not usually. I said, "They will this year" We are costumed and will be riding in costume this year. Fun and frivolity.
Guard to Beach Ride with C4E Raleigh, Goldsboro, New Bern to Beaufort, NC Sep 30-Oct 2 This is a fast paced ride from the NG Armory in Raleigh to Beaufort. This years' mileage will be 65.6 miles on day 1, 67.2 miles on day 2 and a leisurely stroll of 42.6 miles on day 3. The hot long mileage days will take a toll on your bike and your body. A few of us will be camping at the Cherry Point Rec Area and will stay on for a couple of days to ferry across the sound and rest a bit. They have a web site also and It is posted on facebook.

OTHER POSSIBILITIES:
Face of America Gettysburg, PA This is a fund-raiser event that brings riders from Washington DC to Gettysburg, PA. Check out the web site for more information but spots are filling up rapidly.
Thermal Belt Trail Rutherfordton, NC This is a great trail that has only been opened for a short time. 14 miles of pristine pavement and picturesque mill towns make this a very fun ride. We will ride this trail several times this year.
Falls-of-the-Neuse Trail Raleigh, NC Although this is a hike for some of us it is a very good trail system and one well worth the drive. If you are interested in setting something up here let us know.
***If you have any other rides or are interested in any of these rides feel free to contact Jerry at: honorthewarriors1@gmail.com I will consider the ride and look at the budget and get back to you. It is also important to understand that you may be asked to be responsible for local set-up and coordination if you find an event in the SE.
Cade's Cove in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
