October 27 and 28th are days you needed to mark on your calendar. I hope this year’s will be the biggest event yet. Our first day of will begin in Eastway Park in Charlotte, NC. We will ride through Downtown with stops at various points of interest, including an elementary school, Panther’s Stadium, and if time permits, the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Lunch will be provided at Central Piedmont Community College followed by a trip down Sugar Creek Greenway to Freedom Park. From there we will ride through some of the residential areas of Charlotte to Hawthorn Academy where we will speak to the gathered students. The ride will end back at Eastway Park.
The Saturday ride will depart from Veteran’s Memorial Park in Mint Hill. There are 3 routes to choose from, 15, 34, and 66 mile options. The 66 mile route will depart at 0800, the 34 will depart at 0900, and the 15 mile route will depart at 1030. Each departure will be preceded by a short tribute to Warriors Everywhere and a few words from distinguished speakers.
One of our speakers this year will be Maria Parker. Ms Parker is a warrior and an inspiring cyclist who has completed the Race Across America and holds several woman’s endurance records. Maj Gen (Ret) Charles Swannack will also address the group. General Swannack was the 42nd Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division.

As the riders return they were treated to a NC BBQ with all the fixings. Many of the Warriors will stayed in the park to meet and get to know everyone at the event.
